Walk of Shame

So I have no picture or video to share. Be glad.

This is a story about the Mommy walk of shame. Aaron lost it in the middle of Ikea today. I mean full on screaming, crying and drool just pouring from his mouth. The events leading up to this involve lots of name calling involving the word stinky and threats of "I am going to squirt you with my juice." and then me telling him he would not have any dessert. But the straw that broke the camel's back, was not allowing him to go through the secret path (a shortcut) without being put in the stroller.

I buckled him in the back of the stroller, if buckling is what you call it. He stood on the little stand with the belt secured around his thighs. Now if you are familiar with Ikea, you know it is huge and a giant maze and there is no easy way out, even when using the "shortcuts". Of course, Aaron was crying and saying "Somebody help me. I'm stuck. Somebody help me."

We got some sympathetic looks along the way out. I tried to hold my head up high and look like I was in control. But seriously, I wish I could have crawled under the nearest rock and stayed there all afternoon.

At least the story had a happy ending. At 1215 PM he fell asleep in the car and did not wake up until 215 PM.
