Touch a Truck

Last weekend Aaron's old preschool held the best fundraiser ever. For $3 a person, we all got to attend "Touch a Truck". The kids got to explore a garbage truck (my favorite), 2 Border patrol vehicles, some old cars, a Fed Ex truck, a dump truck, construction equipment, police cars, an ambulance, and a firetruck. We all were able to pick up the garbage can and empty into the truck. Aaron's favorite was the dump truck because he got to pull the big horn and help put the bed up and down.

Pulling the horn. If you look close you will see it is made from a deer leg.

Guess he gave up the job at UPS.

This better be the only time I see my kids in the backseat of a police car.

Butterflies

A few weeks ago, we headed to the San Diego Zoo Safari Park with some friends to see the butterflies. The kids had a blast. Yellow was the color to wear this year, so we had a few buzz Aaron, but none landed on him. He was OK with that, though it would have made his day. After the butterflies, we headed over to Aaron's favorite part, Lorikeet landing to feed some hungry birds. Aaron had so much fun, Lauren not so much. But she made it through without having a meltdown.

I am pretty sure I am violating some copyright by posting this, but would you pay $15 for this picture?? They did such a horrible job cropping the kids in the picture. We all thought it was pretty funny.
Aaron borrowed a friend's yellow jacket to try to get one to land on him.

Posing after the safari.

Flower Fields

A few weeks ago, we headed up to the Flower Fields in Carlsbad. I will describe it like this: We have lived here 4+ years and had never been. Now we can at least say we have done it. The kids liked the playground and mining for rocks. We got some cute pictures.

Can you tell someone does not like having pictures taken??

The long walk up the hill to get a stamp.

"Mining" for rocks.
