I know that Aaron's birthday has technically past, but he had such a hard time with understanding having a bday and then having a party, that we decided to just wait and celebrate today. He was so excited about his palm tree party! He came in this morning and said "Today is my birthday!" and then did this crazy little happy dance. It really was an amazing day. He had so much fun and enjoyed everything.
I have been trying really hard to enjoy all the moments with Aaron. His little boys days are slowly dwindling. It's hard to remember how precious they are when Aaron is in the middle of a tantrum, or hitting his sister or calling someone a stinky head. But I really cannot believe that he is 4 and that next year at this time he will be starting kindergarten.
For my 29th birthday, Kyle gave me a baby book and promised by the time I was 30, we would have a baby. He broke that promise, but it was not his fault. Aaron was SO stubborn and decided to stay put for an extra 10 days. He came 6 days after my 30th birthday.
It's hard to pick my favorite things about Aaron, but I'll try. I love his sense of humor, his laugh, his silly faces and his imagination. I love that even though he drives me crazy and really is a "boy", he has an amazing sweet side and loves his sister, dog and friends fiercely. He is very protective of all of them, even though he loves to tease them and make them upset!
Happy Birthday Big Kid!! Thanks for the best day so far.
