Aaron's Party

We had such a great time at Aaron's party on Saturday. He loved his palm tree theme. He helped make and decorate his cake. He spent most of the day going in and out of the bounce house. The sand and water table was such a hit, we had to close it for awhile!

Aaron's favorite part of the whole day was his treasure hunt. Instead of doing a pinata, Kyle thought we should do a treasure hunt. Every night before bed, Aaron asks me to tell him a treasure hunting story. It usually involves him and his friends finding a treasure map and following the clues to find the treasure full of stickers, tattoos, popsicles, ice cream and lollipops. So we set up a little treasure hunt. We made a simple map with picture clues. They had to go to each clue to find the next one. Each kid got a little magnifying glass to help. Aaron really enjoyed leading the group around to each spot. Then they found the X and actually worked together to dig up the treasure chest. I even painted it and stuck jewels on it. The kids loved it and were even more excited when they opened it and found their goody bags. Aaron loved every second of it.
