Hot Days

We had some really hot weather this week. We set the pool up in the backyard and Daddy set up the tent so we would have some shade. The kids had a great time playing in the water. Nika got her own pool. With Daddy here, the kids were allowed to be a little more adventerous using their slide into the pool. It was a big hit.

The Many Faces of Aaron

Last Friday we headed off to the Wild Animal Park. We all had a great time. Aaron thought he would do some posing for me while we waited for the merry go round to start.

Welcome Home Daddy!

We have had a busy week with Daddy coming home several months early. He will be leaving again in May for two months, but we are all so excited to have him with us for a few weeks. The kids are thrilled to have Daddy around.

Homecoming went much better than we expected. As you can see Aaron ran right up to him. He was dancing waiting for the plane to come in! He has a little trouble adjusting to having Daddy here, but we seem to be working things out.

Lauren was hesitant for about a minute and then went over to Daddy, signed please and put her arms up. All the way through the airport, he held her and she kept snuggling up to him. She is definitely enjoying being Daddy's little girl!

For now, just enjoy this cute but short video from the airport.

Parties, Parties and More Parties

We had a busy weekend. We went to two birthday parties and then our Fab Moms Easter Party. The kids had a great time at all of the events. Though I think Aaron consumed way too much sugar and tonight was just so overtired, he had a horrible time going to bed. But I don't think I will see him again until morning.

Both kids really enjoyed the Easter egg hunt. During the bigger kids hunt, Lauren was happy to find odds and ends of things to put in her bag. Aaron was so excited about each egg he found. He even helped Lauren out during her hunt. They had a lot of fun at home opening up the eggs to see what was inside.

Aaron is very excited about Easter. He got a book all about the Easter Bunny and has enjoyed learning about him. In the car today, out of nowhere he asked me if I knew how the Easter Bunny got in. I asked him if he meant in the house and he said yes. I told him he uses the doors and windows because he is magical. I was so not ready for that question.
