We were lucky to be in CT right when strawberry picking opening up. This is not like the places in California that have tiny little patches, a petting zoo, inflatables and the works. This is up in an orchard with just the fields and the little booth where you pay.
The kids loved it. Every time we turned around Lauren was eating another berry. I lost count of how many she ate. She even ate the stems on several of them because I could not get them away from her fast enough. She cried when I picked her up to leave and screamed "STRAWBERRY" all the way home. Aaron really enjoyed actually picking the berries, a skill he learned from watching Super Oso on Dinsey.
It was such a a great morning. I know their Great Grampa would have been proud of them. He loved picking strawberries. He would get up early in the morning and fill a big box up with perfect strawberries. He did this all summer long so we could freeze them and enjoy them all winter. We even got to have strawberry shortcake for supper on more than one occasion.

I have been wanting to go all season... I think I say this everytime, but Lauren is getting so big! I can't get over it...
This looks HEAVENLY. It reminds me a lot of strawberry picking in Wisconsin in June. I always think the same thing when we land in WI or MN---how GREEN it is. I am glad you and the kids got to experience it---great pictures!
