We have been going to the San Diego County Fair since we moved here in 2007. We always have a great time. This year, Kyle is still gone at school. So, I got this crazy idea to take the kids by myself. It was a LOT of work, but they really seemed to enjoy it. We were all really tired by the end of the evening, especially Lauren who threw her pacifier overboard at some point!
The bus ride to the fair
They have a great petting zoo area. Lauren was scared of everything since the first animal she encountered was a huge cow. The goats and sheep were very pushy. But then we found this little cow. It was the sweetest thing and was so gentle taking the food from the kids hands.
This was the only ride the kids could go on without me holding Lauren. Even then she technically wasn't supposed to be on until she was 2, the guy cut us a break. They both loved it. It was the cheesiest ride ever. The kids ride in the canoe around the track, going so slow you actually want to push them yourself. They go through a tunnel and some teepees. Whatever, they both loved it and I could actually take a picture.

They're such good buddies! You are brave! I think I'm going to have to have Anika on a leash if I take them by myself :)
The rides there are cheesy, ha ha! But they love it!!
I can't believe you took them by yourself & still managed to take pix! Good for you! Aaron, I can't believe all the rides that you go on by yourself now - you are getting to be such a big boy!
looks like everyone had fun. I give you props for surviving taking them by yourself and managing to get good pictures!!
