Day Two Disney

We got an early start to Disneyland this morning. Aaron was in awe as we entered the park and he saw a statue of Tinkerbell. The first thing we saw on Main Street was Mickey, Pluto and Goofy posing for pictures. Aaron was adamant about going to see Pluto. Well, you can guess what happened when we got up there. So here is the first attempt at a picture with a beloved character.

Both the kids seemed impressed when we walked through Sleepy Beauty's castle and into Fantasyland. The first ride we all went on was the merry go round. Then Aaron and Daddy headed over to ride high in the sky on Dumbo. Then a quick ride on a train and we headed into a boat down the canal of storybook land. Nobody was all that impressed. Good thing it was a short line. Then Aaron saw the teacups. He has been talking about the teacups ever since we showed him some of the rides on the computer. So I took him for a "spin". We had a great time, but poor Lauren was very unhappy that she was left behind.

Then we headed off to Toon town. Aaron had so much fun riding the roller coaster, that he willingly went right back on with me. We headed over to Mickey's House. Aaron loved seeing all of Mickey's things. He thought seeing Pluto's bed and bone was really cool. Then he headed out back, where Mickey was filming his newest movie. Aaron seemed excited about meeting him, but as soon as it was our turn, he froze and wanted to be picked up. It took a lot of effort just to get him to look at the camera and not Daddy's shoulder! Lauren was not very happy when Mickey reached around my shoulders and patted her arm!

We then headed off to find Nemo. I remember the old submarine ride and let me tell you, this one was fantastic. Both kids really enjoyed it. Then Aaron went for a drive with Daddy. We decided after grabbing some lunch and watching the Star Wars freaks, oh I mean fans, play Jedi, we were ready for naps.

One of the most memorable moments of the entire trip happened that night. We headed to California Adventure for the Pixar Play Parade. Aaron was not very excited about watching another parade until he saw Lightening McQueen leading the parade. I tried to get a picture of his face, sorry it came out bad, but I think everyone can appreciate the seriousness of his look. He stood like that the entire time and waved as all his favorites came by. He truly enjoyed seeing all the characters from his beloved movies right in front of him. Then he got to see Mater ending the parade. It was a great way to end the day!
