Wild Animal Park

Yesterday, we headed up to the Wild Animal Park. We had a pretty good time though the safari consisted of a lot whining and crying because the zebras were going to miss somebody. We really enjoyed going in and feeding the Lorikeets. Two years ago when we brought Aaron here, one landed on his head. He cried a lot and we thought he may have an aversion to birds for the rest of his life. He has since showed no lasting effects. Yesterday, he went in no problem. Was not at all interested in feeding them or holding one until he saw Lauren enjoying it. he asked me if he could have one on him and we found a willing participant. As soon as that bird stepped on him, he must have had a flash back. He did not want anything to do with that bird. The pictures say it all.

Lauren showed no fear in the petting zoo. She was walking all over the place petting the deer who looked giant next to her. We had a nice moment when the kids were holding hands walking down the path.

We did not have any change to get on the merry go round, so a very nice man, who also had kids with him, gave us $2 so that Aaron and Nana could ride. He was so happy to be with his friend, the zebra.

Awww, so much fun! We were just there on Saturday and had a great time. I didn't know they had a petting zoo there, we missed out!! I love the pictures, poor Aaron, he must have remembered! They are so cute walking together! Glad you are having a good visit with Nana.
