Lauren has become the little daredevil. She thinks she is big enough to climb up the playground equipment by herself. Almost every afternoon, I take the kids and Nika for a quick walk up to the playground. After today, I think I will have to leave Nika at home. I am just not quick enough when I am dragging her around. I am thankful Lauren hit her head, it's what stopped her from falling the 4 feet to the ground. What an awful moment. I am learning I need to really stay on my toes with her. I will be having nightmares for weeks.

Oh man Kelly, I'm so sorry for both of you! I know what it is like to run over and over in your mind what happened and how you could have done it different. But you know, kids are so resilient! I bet that egg will be gone with in a week or so! She does look so much older with those pony tails!
OMG! my first response was that i'm sorry i wasn't there today to help because i'm sure that was a nightmare. but, after seeing the video, i think it might be good i wasn't there because i would have FREAKED out :) how is she? that is a HUGE head bonk :(
I should add, she is fine. She actually only cried for a few minutes. Aaron was more upset because I made him leave the playground early! Of course, the first thing I did was call my mom!
OUCH! Poor thing---poor Mama! I am finding park outings not so fun anymore (yet, still very much needed). It is so difficult to watch two little ones (going different directions) who still very much need watching. I can't even imagine adding a dog into the mix. I thought I would be happy when Charlie could walk/run around the park too and I didn't have to carry him anymore. Boy, was I wrong.
I'm glad she's OK, how scary. No professional photo shoots in the near future, right? Big ((hugs)) to you.

Oh Man.....I am so sorry for both of you. You could use a little face paint and decorate it as a Easter Egg......
I see some slow motion dreams in your future...I hate those.
