Christmas Cards from Shutterfly

Can you believe it is already that time of year? The 6 months Kyle was gone with the USS Vandegrift on deployment dragged. But the last month they have been home has flown by. Next week is Thanksgiving and then Christmas is just around the corner.

I think I am one of the few people that really enjoy sending out Christmas cards. The whole process reminds me of my Grandmother and how each year she picked out her card and wrote a long letter with all the happenings in the family. Now I will confess I do not write anything on my cards, Shutterfly does that for me. But as the expression goes "A picture is worth a thousand words." I love opening Christmas cards and seeing "real" photos of our friends and family.

Picking the Christmas card and photos to use take me a good week. There are so many wonderful designs to choose from. Last year I used this. I really liked the non traditional dark blue background with the winter touch of snowflakes. They came out amazing.

This year, they have added even more designs. Which makes choosing even harder. I can't pick a favorite, yet but I have 3 in the running for this years design. I love the picture tree . You can add lots of pictures. This is great when you have so many wonderful pics of your kids that it is SO hard to choose which ones to use. One of my other favorites is the joy dots in chocolate . I really like the color of this background. I know it is not a traditional Christmas color, but JOY stands out so nice on it. Plus I love that you can pick one big picture and 2 smaller ones. I usually like to include one family shot and then a picture of each kid. My last pick for this year is this winter snowmen card . I like that the snowmen on it adds a whimsical touch to the card without going way overboard.

I love ordering from Shutterfly. Not only do they carry wonderful cards of all shapes and sizes. But every year I order Gramps a special mug from the kids. It is super easy to do and come out fantastic. Check them out here : http://www.shutterfly.com/photo-gifts/photo-mugs

I also order all my calendars from Shutterfly. It is really easy to download photos and you have so many choices. The hardest part for me is picking out what great pictures to use. Every year, I end up liking the ones I have made for family so much, I end up ordering one for myself too. Check out the calendars here: http://www.shutterfly.com/calendars

I have to say that I have ordered from Shutterfly several times. Not only at Christmas but throughout the year for baby announcements, posters and just regular photos. I have only ever had one problem, a mug got broken in the mail. I called customer service and they immediately sent me a new one without having to send the broken one back. And they sent it faster shipping so it would arrive in time. As most of you know, I love great customer service.

Happy Holidays!
