It was hard to go to bed last night. Knowing that in the morning, Aaron would be 5. 5 feels like a huge milestone, though is not marked with any big changes like talking, walking, using the potty. I guess starting kindergarten is a big deal, but honestly, preschool was way bigger. He is just a boy now. No more baby or toddler. His little cheeks barely jiggle anymore when he is running. He now thinks words like poop, pee, diaper and toilet are the funnest things ever. But he still loves giving hugs, and being a good friend and big brother. He wants me to pick him up and give him hugs at school and still likes making homemade gifts and cards for everyone. He calls me the best momma ever. These things will fade too quickly just like those cheeks, but I know some will not. He is growing into an amazing kid. Happy Birthday Aaron, I hope your day was as special as you are.
