Dino Mite!
Today I decided to brave the heat and take Aaron to see dino mountain at the Wild Animal Park. We got there at 930 and it was already 90. But we headed up the mountain and found the dinosaurs.
It was such a neat exhibit. They are all mechanical and the entire trail feels prehistoric. Lauren DID NOT like them. She got really scared when the first dino (some relative of the triceratops) made some really loud noise at us. She sat on the stroller the rest of the way. Aaron loved them all until we met this fellow.
Now Aaron was fine until he saw this one spit. It only misted out some water, but Aaron headed for the hills. I had to chase him down the path well carrying Lauren. Then I had to convince him that I would not let the dino get him wet. It took a lot of convincing. Finally we made it past. The Trex was amazing. Nobody wanted a picture in front of it.
The rest of the trip went relatively well. We went on the safari ride after Aaron begged me. Luckily there was no wait. I don't get why he wants to go on it every time we go. He doesn't really like sitting still, never looks at anything you show him and can't wait for it to end. I guess the only thing he looks for is the zebra.
We also stopped at Lorikeet Landing, per Aaron's request. For those of you not familiar with the story, when Aaron was 21 months we took him there and a bird landed on his head. He totally freaked out. We thought he would be scarred for life, but last time he wanted to go and he was just a little afraid of them. This time he was doing fine and was trying to get a bird on him when it got scared and nipped him. He cried a lot and did not want anything to do with the birds. I have a feeling this will be the last time he asks to go see them. We left by 1230 because it was so hot.

Ahhhh looks like a fun day...we need to get out that way. The heat has been scaring me off......:)
Sounds like a pretty good time, even with all the scariness! You are one brave mama for going by yourself!
Way to go braving that heat! Were the bees swarming? They were everywhere when we went!
Oh man, we should have come with you, I was close to braving the heat just because I really wanted to see this exhibit before it was over. Oh well. Maybe the girls would have been scared?? I can just see Aaron's face as he saw these cool creatures!
